This privacy policy explains how T9 Apps ("we", "us") and the services bundled in ShadeSide ("the App") handle information when you use the App. The App determines sun position and shade direction from your device location.
The App requests access to your device's location (GPS) solely to calculate the sun's position and shade direction for your current location. Your precise coordinates are processed entirely on your device, are not sent to us or used for advertising, and are not stored after the calculation. You can grant or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
To show your location on a map, the App loads map imagery (tiles) from OpenStreetMap, a third-party map service. To deliver the imagery, OpenStreetMap receives your device's IP address and the map area being viewed. This is handled under the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
We do not collect or store your personal information on our servers. The App does not require an account and contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising services. The App's only network activity is loading map imagery, as described under Location Data above.
Because the App does not collect or store any personal data off your device, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete. Removing the App from your device removes any locally stored settings.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Because the App does not collect personal data or send it to us, there is no user data at risk on our side. Map imagery is loaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. All other computations are performed locally on your device.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
